My birthday has already happened, it was last Monday, in fact. You didn’t get me anything. It’s cool, I guess… No, it’s fine. Seriously. Anyway, this isn’t a beg list or anything, this is simply a place for me to get my head straight on certain things that I’m wanting. It’s like a to-do list, but more of a to-buy, which sounds insanely materialistic, but hey, “we’re living in a material world, and I am a material girl.. or boy…” You know, it’s been way too long since I’ve seen The Wedding Singer. Sorry for the stream of consciousness thing.
I’ve got a lot of live events and concerts under my belt, but some have outright escaped me for a variety of reasons. I’m mostly lucky in my concert going experience and I truly can’t think of an all around terrible experience I’ve had at a concert. Even if it started poorly, most of the time I’ve escaped with a pretty much amazing experience. But there are some bands that I’ve never gotten the chance to see that I’ve always wanted to feel the experience of seeing those artists live.
Listed below are the bands and artists that I must see before it’s all over. (more…)
Last year, I made a list of all of the Record Store Day Releases that I was most looking forward to which included some Prize Fighter Inferno, Coheed and Cambria, The Cure, Notorious B.I.G., Deftones, Blind Melon, Misfits/Lemonheads, Willie Nelson, and Patty Griffin, and while I didn’t get any of those other than the Coheed and Blind Melon/Misfits split, it was still a great experience and didn’t dull my excitement for this year. This year’s Record Store Day doesn’t have any releases that I absolutely must have, but it does have several that I’d like to get my hands on.
There are a great deal of records coming out this year for RSD. some hit or miss, but more awesome than not. If you want to check out the full list, you can go here because there’s no way I’m going over ever single one of them with you. So without further ado, let’s get into what I’m most looking forward to on Record Store Day 2014! (more…)
A couple of weeks ago, I sat down and made a list of things I would change or add to the WWE Network. While I still have some complaints, like the inability to resume a program that you’re watching, there are some seriously awesome things about the WWE Network for a hardcore wrestling fan.
The WWE Network provides a bevy of content available at the whims of the American wresting fan. The WWE gives its subscribers the ability to watch every single Pay Per View ever produced by WWE, WCW, and ECW. It showcases older programming produced by these companies, as well as providing original content created by the WWE that are now exclusive to The Network. Below are some of my favorite parts of the On Demand/Streaming service for a $10 monthly fee. (more…)
This is just awesome. I’m currently sitting down and watching the Legends of Wrestling episode about Patriotic Characters on the WWE Network, and the topic of The Iron Sheik came on, and they showed a part of his WWE Hall of Fame speech. It’s so random, crazy, and awesome, but it’s also very emotional seeing his passion for the business. It’s a great clip, so if you’ve got an extra 8-ish minutes, check it out.
There is no real theme to this week’s Spotify playlist by any means, other than the fact that’s it is made up of songs that I like. Honestly, the inspiration for this week was going to Spotify, thinking of song, and adding it to the playlist. This week is Random As… or at the very least, stream of consciousness.
Anyway, I love or like these songs a lot right now, and I hope you do, too!
