Thoughts and Predictions for the 2012 Royal Rumble

2012 Royal RumbleIf you know me at all, you know that I am a huge fan of professional wrestling, and now that I have this fancy little blog, I have a place to talk about this obsession of mine. Also, if you follow professional wrestling, you know that tonight marks the twenty fifth anniversary of WWE’s Royal Rumble PPV event. And you can color me excited about it.

This year, some of my favorite wrestlers are performing in the pre-main events with CM Punk facing Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Championship while Interim Raw General Manager and Executive Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis oversees the bout as special guest referee. The other match that I’m looking forward to is my other favorite superstar Daniel Bryan (aka Bryan Danielson, aka The Best In The World, aka The American Dragon) as he defends his World Heavyweight Championship against The World’s Strongest Man Mark Henry (aka Sexual Chocolate) and The Largest Athlete In The World, The Big Show (aka Paul White aka The Giant).

Now, there are a lot of possibilities that could happen after tonight, but with WWE’s recent announcement that this year’s Royal Rumble will any WWE superstar to enter the main event, I’ve come up with a couple of scenario’s that could possibly happen, so hit the jump to see what I think! (more…)

This Week In Comics

This Week In ComicsI’ve been kind of out of action for the past couple of months as far as comics go. So, while I was busy with these other things, I’ve fallen behind a couple of months. And when you have a pull list as long as I do, a couple of months can add up to a lot of comics.

Well, I finally caught up on all those comics and I am now currently caught up to this week with the exception of a couple of titles like Batwoman and I, Vampire due to shipping mistakes that have caused me to not receive the comics that I should have received. So, This Week In Comics is a little feature that I’d like to do so that I can tell you guys what comics that I’ve read this week and give you some short thoughts on them and ultimately tell you what I liked the most. Welcome To The Post Modern Age: Jay-Z “The Ruler’s Back”

Whenever I start something new, I instantly think of Jay-Z‘s lead song from the classic album, The Blueprint. The Blueprint means a lot to me as a hip hop and music fan, in general, and we’ll get to that later, but with “The Ruler’s Back,” Jay-Z took the time to re-introduce himself to his fans both new and old, give an overall feel to the upcoming album, and when you hear this song, you know that you’re in store for something great that is yet to come.

And that’s what I like to think when I start something new. I always strive to do my best and put forth something that I think is going to be awesome. Will I live up to that goal? Honestly? Probably not. But I’m definitely going to try, and hopefully something happens with it. So, anyway, here’s Jay-Z’s “The Ruler’s Back,” because this blog is going to be filled with “my thoughts, just my thoughts.” (more…)
